Laura is a fully qualified Beauty Educator, Beauty Therapist, and Nail Technician to NVQ Level 3. She has trained with some of the biggest names in the industry including CND, HD Brows, Dermalogica, LVL Lashes, Nouveau, Lash Perfect, Jessica, St Tropez, Nailtiques, and Skinbase. Laura also holds the elite CND Master Nail Technician status.

Since launching in 2016, Laura Bell Academy has become one of Cornwall’s leading centres for professional beauty training. We offer a wide range of accredited beauty courses for beginners, salon professionals, and those ready to advance their skills in a supportive and professional environment.

After more than 15 years of educating and mentoring her own salon teams, managing several successful beauty salons, and teaching Nail Technology at Camborne College in Cornwall, Laura Bell followed her passion for professional development and launched the Laura Bell Academy.

Today, the academy offers a wide range of Guild accredited beauty courses delivered at carefully selected, high quality training venues across Cornwall. Our courses are designed to help beauty professionals gain recognised qualifications, build confidence, and grow successful careers in the beauty industry.

We offer a range of beauty training courses and one to one mentoring for qualified beauty therapists who want to refresh their skills, grow their confidence, or scale their business.

With over 25 years of industry experience, Laura Bell provides personalised business advice, sharing her expertise and proven strategies to help beauty professionals build successful and profitable careers.

Our training takes place at a high quality venue in Cornwall with excellent facilities, including free onsite parking, Wi-Fi, and easy access for students across the region.

Accreditation and Certification

All courses are fully accredited by The Guild of Beauty Therapists. Upon successful completion of your chosen course, you will receive a recognised certificate and will be able to obtain professional insurance to begin offering treatments.

Please note that the required number of theory and practical hours will vary depending on your individual learning pace. Case study requirements may also differ from student to student.

All students receive lifelong support throughout their training journey and beyond, ensuring you always have expert guidance when you need it.

GTi courses also include the GTi Professional Standards course completely free of charge — normally priced at £49 plus VAT.

There is an additional charge of £25 per course to register with The Guild of Beauty Therapists. When purchasing additional courses, a 50% discount will be applied.

How do I book a course and what happens next?

Your Questions answered.

  • You can purchase the course through our website www.laurabellacademy.co.uk
  • Yes do payment plans. You can pay using PayPal who do offer a credit facility, Clearpay, or Klarna.
  • Once we are notified of your purchase we will be in touch to allocate a suitable date for you.
  • You will be sent a course confirmation which includes details of your course.
  • You will be sent the relevant course theory to be completed online through The Guild of Beauty Therapists via email.
  • Please note we teach on Mondays only.
  • You can find some dates under ‘events’ on our Facebook Academy Page.
  • Your kit will be ready for you on your training day if required/included.
  • All equipment will be provided for you!
  • All courses start at 10:00AM unless otherwise stated.
  • All courses require case studies to be completed after your practical training to be submitted via WhatsApp. Once your case studies are completed you will be issued with a certificate of accreditation.
  • You will need to provide a model, unfortunately we cannot provide models.
  • We provide refreshments, but you will need to bring snacks/lunch.
  • Each course varies in length and will depend on each individual student.
